Policies for Handling Personal Information
- 1.The administrative office of the ESG Communication Forum (“the Forum” hereinafter) respects the privacy of individuals and therefore abides by laws, national directives and guidelines, and other regulations when handling private information in the possession of the Forum.
- 2.Personal information will only used by the Forum for justifiable purposes that are within the scope of its activities. The Forum will not collect information that exceeds the limits of what is necessary for this purpose. Information will be collected, used, and provided in an impartial and appropriate manner.
- 3.The Forum will conduct proper maintenance of the personal information in its possession it order to ensure that it is accurate and current as is required to serve its purpose.
- 4.In regard to personal information subject to disclosure in its possession, the Forum will respond appropriately to requests that it disclose, amend, or stop using personal information; to complaints; and to consultations from the party to which the information pertains.
- 5.In the event that the Forum is requested to perform services involving the use of personal information, personal information will only be used to perform the services requested.
- 6.The Forum takes necessary and appropriate precautions to address risks related to personal information, including measures to prevent unauthorized access to, leakage of, destruction of, or damage to information. Further, in the event that any problems occur regarding the handling of personal information, the Forum will quickly take the necessary steps needed to rectify the problem.
- 7.The Forum’s systems for protecting personal information undergo constant revision to ensure their effectiveness.
